This Tuesday, July 5, Charlène of Monaco took to her Instagram account to make a big announcement. The princess has indeed unveiled a preview of her first NFT collection, in collaboration with a famous art gallery …

An amazing project. Returned to the Rock for a few months, Charlene of Monaco multiplies public outings and now embarks on new adventures. This Tuesday, July 5, the princess made an astonishing announcement on social networks. The wife of Prince Albert II has thus published a small video in which we discover a portrait of her in several parts, in black and white, baptized “OurVisionTogether” and produced by the artist Junaid Sénéchal-Senekal. but through this drawing, Charlène of Monaco tells us that she has been tempted by cryptocurrency.

Excited about my first NFT collection, commissioned for my #feedtogether project in collaboration with golfer @Louisoosthuizen57. Thanks to the art gallery @junaidssart who put their heart and soul into this creation, as well as their health for fasting throughout this work”she wrote in the caption, before adding: “What he went through is a tragic reality for many and something most take for granted every day, it highlights the importance of this project.”

The AS Monaco club already seduced by the NFTs

NFTs (Non Fungible Token, “non-fungible token” in French), are tamper-proof digital title documents attesting to the uniqueness of an object. Still little known in France, they are increasingly popular in the artistic sectors. Thanks to this uniqueness of an object, the prices of some of them can sometimes soar. The American artist Beeple, for example, sold a digital photo, entitled Everyday: the first five thousand days, for over $69 million. The collaboration between Charlène of Monaco and the artist Junaid Sénéchal-Senekal could therefore pay off big.

But this is not the first time that NFTs have tried to find a place in the Principality. In March 2022, they had already seduced the AS Monaco football club, which had formalized its partnership with Capital Block, the club’s official NFT agency. “In constant search of experiences to offer to its supporters and particularly active in the field of new technologies, AS Monaco is therefore taking an additional step in this original way of bringing their passion to life for its fans”, had indicated the club on its site.
