Days Gone

In a post-apocalyptic world, you play as former biker Deacon St John. Days Gone is inspired by genre references like I am Legend and follows Deacon in his fight against his difficult past and the mutants who have now invaded the Earth. The storyline is splintered and separated into the open world through main and side quests. The rest of the game’s construction is kept fairly simple with classic shooter gameplay, but the Mad Max-esque motorbike upgrades add value. It is possible to improve its speed, its resistance or its endurance. Nevertheless, the difficulty brought by the zombies and the multiple interactions with the PNGs perfectly transcribes the dark atmosphere desired to make it a good game.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Placed in a post-apocalyptic universe, Horizon: Zero Dawn follows the adventures of Aloy who evolves in a world where machines have taken over humans. These have evolved to become a full-fledged fauna and flora while the vegetation has become lush again. To preserve these places and understand its secrets, Aloy undertakes an initiatory journey in search of the last human tribes and vestiges of ancient times. You play as a hunter and it is with this particularity that the gameplay evolves with mechanics that will have to be adapted to each enemy. But in addition to the action, infiltration is also important, as is crafting to evolve correctly.

god of war

God of War (2018) is a reboot of the saga started in 2005. This new opus does not completely break away from the old games, but offers a new starting point for the character of Kratos and new players. And while the old titles drew heavily on Greek mythology, this one is rooted in Norse mythology and the characters’ father-son relationship. The story follows the journey of Kratos and his son Atreus to the highest mountain to lay his wife’s ashes there. But the journey promises to be more complicated than expected, as the gods stand in their way. God of War 2018 is a beat them all that takes us on a journey through Nordic worlds to face deities just like the dark elves of Alflheim.

Gran Turismo Sports

Gran Turismo Sports, unlike the other titles of the racing simulation license, has the particularity of addressing a wider audience. Essentially online, up to 24 players, GT Sport offers to compete on emblematic circuits of the automotive world with more than 258 vehicles. Beside, the game offers a single player mode consisting of several missions which is a bit left out or an arcade mode. The customization of the races is a nice addition to this spin-off which allows you to play under the desired conditions.

Marvel’s Spider-Man

Adapting a character from comics is always a test for developers, but here it is a success. In Marvel’s Spider-Man, we find Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, in the streets of New York with the objective of protecting her from enemies like the Vulture or the Kingpin. If the scenario is what is expected of a superhero game, it is the gameplay that amazes. The city is impressive and it is possible to make Peter jump from building to building, all decorated with somersaults and other antics. The quests are numerous, and even if the mini-games are poorly exploited, walking around town becomes a real pleasure. The exploration phase is successful and each object brings improvements in addition to bonus content such as costumes.

Nioh Collection

The title includes the first opus of Nioh hasas well as the second which places us in a feudal Japan in the middle of the Sengoku era. You play as a samurai who must rid his land of demons and other evil creatures. The gameplay exploits the samurai abilities of William and his saber, but who can also equip more impressive weapons like an axe. The title is sometimes influenced by the Souls as with the souls that allow you to improve your character. It manages to have smooth and fast-paced gameplay where timings and postures are important. Six DLCs are added to these games for a monstrous life.

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the continuation of the adventures of our two heroes who are interrupted during their celebration by Nefarious. He grabs the Dimensionator, a weapon that opens dimensional rifts. This weapon is very important for Ratchet, because it would allow him to find his own. Our two characters find themselves stuck in a parallel dimension where evil dominates. The game is visually stunning and leaves the player free to explore a large part of the map as he wishes. It is embellished with side quests that sometimes lead to platform challenges. The gameplay is also successful with weapons that are still just as wacky and accessories that are not lacking in originality.

The Last of Us 1 and 2

Games The Last of Us marked the spirits and were real successes. We follow Ellie and Joel as they try to survive in an apocalyptic mode ravaged by disease. It infects humans to turn them into zombies. Unlike other titles of this genre, The Last Bones Us is not based on big kills, but on thoughtful gameplay. Resources are very precious and must be saved. Therefore, every decision is important. The dark atmosphere combined with constant stress easily takes the player on board, supported by an equally worked narration.
