“I no longer live with my biological father and no longer want to be associated with him in any form whatsoever,” Vivian Jenna Wilson announced the day after her 18th birthday. Happy birthday, Papa Musk!
Did the tech mogul celebrate a happy Father’s Day with his 7 seven children (5 from a first marriage with Justine Musk, and two with singer Grimes)? This is the question we can ask ourselves following the recent public speaking of his daughter who has just come out transgender, the day after her 18th birthday.
“I don’t want to be associated with my father anymore”
“I no longer live with my biological father and no longer want to be associated with him in any form.”
Assigned boy at birth, she now wants to be called Vivian Jenna Wilson, with her mother’s maiden name, divorced from Elon Musk in 2008. She filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court in Santa Monica, to change her name and gender at marital status, TMZ revealed on June 20, 2022.
Is Elon Musk transphobic?
In addition to a number of questionable political and social positions from Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla and SpaceX has also made comments flirting with transphobia. Notably on Twitter (which he is in the process of buying back), in April 2020, where the tech mogul wrote:
“Pronouns suck”
Without additional context, it’s hard to know what Elon Musk is referring to, but a response from his partner at the time seems to clearly indicate that it was not a simple dislike of grammar, since Grimes replied:
“I love you but please turn off your phone or go fuck yourself. I can’t stand hate. Please stop this. I know it doesn’t match your heart [d’agir ainsi] »
In December 2020, Elon Musk clarified his hatred of pronouns:
“I totally support trans people, but all these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare”
After Grimes who left him and now has a romantic relationship with Chelsea Manning (a former United States Army military analyst who was convicted and imprisoned for treason in the United States after revealing abuses by American soldiers on Iraqi civilians, and now released), and now his transgender daughter who disowns him, Elon Musk can therefore continue to ruminate on his “I am not transphobic, but…” in his corner. It is unlikely that other trans people will want to approach him.
