On the Daily program: a new Game of Thrones series centered on one of the most popular characters would be in preparation, Final Fantasy is full of info and unveils the sequel to the Remake of the 7ᵉ opus and One Punch Man is preparing his film live- stock. The Daily, let’s go!
The sequel to Game of Thrones
After 8 seasons, released between 2011 and 2019, Game of Thrones ended with a finale that unfortunately disappointed more than one viewer. However, HBO does not intend to let go of its goose that lays the golden eggs. A Jon Snow series is reportedly in the works, with Kit Harrington taking over the role of the Stark family’s illegitimate son. The series would focus on his life after Game of Thrones ended (for those who have completed GOT, you know what I’m talking about). For the moment, no name has been given, the whole remaining at the stage of rumor. The source of this information is The Hollywood Reporter, known for its reliability. As a reminder, a second series from the Game of Thrones universe is already in preparation: House of the Dragon. It is an adaptation of George RR Martin’s book, Fire and Blood, recounting the demise of the Targaryen family, 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The series is scheduled for August 21 on HBO Max, and on the night of August 22 on MyCanal and OCS in France.
Final Fantasy 7 FINALLY unveils the sequel to its Remake
Square Enix has officially unveiled the sequel to the FF7 Remake with Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth. We were treated to a first trailer and even a release window set for winter 2023, exclusively on PS5. Nomura is still in charge for this sequel and the first images confirm the teams’ desire to rewrite the story compared to the original opus released in 1997. The trailer opens with Cloud and Sephiroth walking side by side, amazing thing anyone who has played the original game. A voiceover continues very enigmatic tirades, which seem to question the reality of the game. We also find Cloud and Zack together, the latter being a very important character in the lore of FF7. Speaking of him, also know that Crisis Core, the PSP prequel episode which focuses on Zack, will be entitled to a remaster on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC. He too was entitled to his first trailer, and is planned for this winter with new 3D models, a new engine, an optimized game system, new musical arrangements and complete dubbing. Ever Crisis, the mobile game that will bring together all the games from the FF7 lore, has also shown the end of its nose. The title promises to make us relive the entire history of the Final Fantasy 7 universe, with new adventures. The game does not yet have a release date.
One Punch Man in Live Action
The manga One Punch Man will have the right to its own live-action film, made by Sony Pictures and directed by Justin Lin, at the origin of some opuses of Fast and Furious. On the screenplay side, the task was entrusted to Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. The duo has already collaborated on Jumanji: Next Level and Venom. The brothers Ari and Avi Arad will take care of the production. We have already seen them at work on many Marvel films, such as Spider-Man No Way Home, the Incredible Hulk or Iron Man. Sony bought the rights directly from Shueisha, the publisher of Tonari Young Jump in which the hit manga is published, which has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. As a reminder, One Punch Man tells the story of Saitama, an overpowered superhero, to the point that he manages to kill his enemies in one shot, but by force, he becomes jaded with trouble. No one seems to notice that he is possibly the most powerful man in the universe, except his disciple Genos, a young man turned cyborg.
