EUROVISION – Ukraine is obviously not the only one to have won the 2022 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday May 14. Italian singer Laura Pausini, who hosted the show alongside Alessandro Cattelan and singer Mika, stole the hearts of many viewers and internet users with her breathtaking performances.
The 48-year-old Italian star has indeed offered the public a medley of his greatest songs in introduction, changing outfit and color with each title. With all her power, she notably interpreted Io canto, Loneliness and The cose che vivi.
And the least we can say is that the star has convinced his audience. On social networks, many believe that she is the big winner of this evening.
Laura Pausini victim of a “tension drop” during the final
And it would seem that her flamboyant performance was not without consequences for her since the singer disappeared from the screens for almost an hour. “She felt unwell”, suggested Stéphane Bern on France 2. Laura Pausini however reappeared at the end of the counting of the votes of the international jurors, declaring that she had a “surplus of emotions”.
She later explained herself further in a post on Instagram this Sunday morning, wanting to reassure her fans.
“I wanted to reassure you and tell you that I am fine. During this final I had a drop in blood pressure and for this reason I had to stop for about twenty minutes on the advice of the doctors who helped me and whom I thank very much. The last 6 months have been full of work and I have succumbed to stress… but I am happy to have closed the evening with my dear traveling companions Alessandro Cattelan and Mika”.
