With Monster Hunter Rise’s Sunbreak expansion, Capcom has unveiled a new trailerof new featuresof new monstersof new quests

New monsters, new quests, new talents…

Ryozo Tsujimoto and Yoshitake Suzuki, respectively producer of the saga and director of Monster Hunter Rise, presented this direct from Capcom dedicated to the Sunbreak expansion. We discovered a new trailer for the expansion. So we learn that Sunbreak will count three new monsters, a modification of the Subsitution Talents, new quests … We also have more details on the Elder Dragon Malzeno.

The new monsters: Seregios, Aurora, Magma

Three new monsters are therefore expected in this expansion. First of all a return, that of the Seregios Flying Wyvern. Known for her high-flying maneuvers and the blades that cover his bodythis creature risks you attack with its scales which could cause you to hemorrhage, so keep an eye out. Of them new subspecies are present in Sunbreak: the Drowsy Aurora and the‘Alumdron Magma. The first will release an icy mist if it feels threatened, can glide across the ice to attack its prey and freeze them with its breath. The second is somewhat its opposite: he lives in caves full of lava and can increase the power of his attacks with molten stones.

The terrifying Elder Dragon Malzeno

But Sunbreak’s real challenge is the Elder Dragon Malzeno. He has the ability to control a swarm of parasites which can absorb the energy of its prey. Inspired by vampiric creatures, it can inflict a hemorrhage that will drain your life force. If you can’t resist it, it will transform into an even more devastating form. Malzeno is so terrifying, it is said he can wipe out entire kingdoms.

New Substitute Talents

Hunters will have new ways to fight, in Sunbreak. Hunters summoned by the Kingdom will thus learn from new Substitute Talentsand the possibility of change talents. This ability will allow you to change Talents on the fly in the middle of a fight. Additionally, Sunbreak adds the Dodge Transfer, allowing you to dodge an attack quickly.
