This aid should therefore go beyond the “high speed” compensation, initially outlined by the executive for those who “make more than 12,000 km per year”.
“We are looking to see if we can put in place more generous compensation for all those who are obliged to take their vehicle to go to work. […] whether they are salaried, whether they are work-study”explained the Minister of Economy and Finance, at the microphone of France Inter.
Because “there are plenty of people who don’t do 12,000 km a year, who take their car to go to work and who can no longer make ends meet”he justified.
Who can benefit from it?
But this aid will be paid “depending on the level of incomesaid the boss of Bercy, without giving the ceiling that will be retained.
According to information from Parisian, about 11 million households, i.e. those receiving up to approximately €1,600 net per month, which corresponds to half of the poorest French people, could benefit from this system. But this remains to be confirmed. To take advantage of this aid, the persons concerned must connect to the tax site, in order to fill out a request for assistance. The state will then check the income criteria and car insurance contracts. According to this principle, aid at the pump of 0.18 centimes, which benefits, on the other hand, all motorists, could therefore not be extended.
How much will this aid be?
