Santa Claus is ahead at Epic Games and his hood is filled with games of all genres. That’s why, every day since December 15, the Epic Games Store has unveiled a mystery game that you can pick up for free. Only one? Not today in any case since it is a set of three role-playing games for the same cult license which is on the program of the day.

A cult license, three free games!

If the Epic Games Store is used to being particularly generous on the occasion of these end-of-year celebrations by offering a free game on PC every day, a bit like a calendar of Advent dedicated to video games, behind the window of the day hides a nice gift. Indeed, provided you have created an account on the digital store (totally free, by the way), you will have the pleasant surprise of obtaining three games from a license of the role-playing game that we no longer present: Fallout.
This is a good opportunity to get your hands on Fallout, the first of the name and its sequel, Fallout 2, without forgetting Fallout Tactics.

We have to go back nearly 25 years, but the Fallout series was born from this first episode released in September 1997, a 2D role-playing game that sets its context in a post-apocalyptic world following a nuclear war. Charged with your mission, you embody the Dweller of Vault 13 and you must then discover the new face of this relatively hostile outside world.
A year later, in 1998, Fallout 2 takes over, 80 years after the events of the initial opus, in which you play the grandson of the first protagonist, in other words the “chosen being”.
Finally, you can also extend your adventure (and fun) with the spin-off entitled Fallout Tactics which borrows the universe of the series in a strategy game. Released in 2001, the title puts you at the head of a squad of soldiers from the Brotherhood of Steel which you must lead in search of glory, respect and war chests. Long hours of play in perspective for all fans of the genre and/or this cult franchise.

An advent calendar with video games

It’s a tradition that the Epic Games Store has been carrying on for a few years. In the wake of the free games that the store offers throughout the year, the holiday season is the peak of this initiative. From December 15 until January 15, the platform provides one game to download per day. It is therefore today a trio of games: Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics, and this until another takes his place, that is to say tomorrow from 17:00. Clues have been left in the image opposite, we let you rack your brains to find out which game will be offered tomorrow.

While some may seem skeptical to see so much generosity through this gesture, arguing that the titles offered are far from the quality of some blockbusters, it should be noted that excellent games have been offered in the past. This is particularly the case for the game Preytitle developed by Arkane Austin studio (currently in development of red fall for Microsoft) but also games control. Either way, it’s the perfect option for gamers looking for new games without breaking the bank as the holidays approach.

Prey and Control.
