There can only be one left. After a particularly conclusive phase with individuals and merchants in Lille, the Dailyn application is officially setting out to conquer the national territory. Its founder, Arnaud Przybylski, has the ambition to make it the app of apps, the Swiss army knife mobile version of your daily needs. He has also given himself the means by managing to raise, in particular from the Mulliez family (Auchan), 11 million euros.
Admittedly, Dailyn is not going to make you coffee, so don’t exaggerate. However, this small application for smartphones brings together at the heart of its code five of the features most used on a daily basis by the French. “In Europe, we tend to have one application per function. One for messaging, one for the hairdresser, one for paying… We believe that a daily application should meet all daily needs”, explains Arnaud Przybylski, founding president of Dailyn.
WhatsApp, PayLib, Le Bon Coin…
The developers of Dailyn have thus worked to make 5 in 1. “First, we have Dailyn chat, an encrypted messaging service. It will also be the first WhatsApp-type messaging system hosted in France, assures the CEO. In terms of data sovereignty, it’s a guarantee of not seeing user data leave who knows where. »
The “super-app”, as its founder calls it, also offers a payment function between friends or to make purchases at partner merchants like Paylib or Apple Pay. “It’s an electronic wallet that you can credit in real time with your bank card,” says Arnaud Przybylski.
Another interesting function, the Dailyn shop, which allows you to buy products directly from merchants or professional partners of the application. Without going ahead on an implementation deadline, the boss of Dailyn adds that his teams “are also working to extend this function to purchase and sale between individuals as can be done on Le Bon Coin”.
The application also includes a function for creating and sharing content with a community and a last one allowing you to organize or discover events around you.
So, of course, having so much data concentrated in a single application can be worrying in several ways. On the resale of personal information, the CEO is clear: no. “We straddle the GDPR and we will never sell user data to third parties,” he says. On the hacking side, it guarantees maximum security, in particular because of the encryption of its application.
During the test phase, more than 30,000 users and 2,000 merchants registered. More than enough to improve the latest version thanks to their feedback before launching on the national market in September. This is partly what the 11 million euros recently raised will be used for, in particular with the AFM, an association of the Mulliez family. “We are already 50 employees and we will have to recruit more”, announces the CEO. Another part of this kitty will be devoted to the opening of new “Daily houses”, third places where users can find themselves “in real life”.
